Seamus Duggan moved to Guernsey over 30 years ago and now combines running Pier 17 with raising his 2 boys, Ciarán and Callum, along with his wife, Kim. Born in Ireland, where he was brought up in the restaurant business, Seamus is first and foremost a talented chef who instantly made a name for himself when he arrived on the island.

Chris Reid
Head Chef
Originally from Lancashire, Head Chef Chris Reid has been Seamus’s right-hand man at Pier 17 for nearly a decade. Chris has been passionate about food all his life and his creativity with the island’s high-quality seasonal produce ensures that our menu is imaginative, fresh and inspiring, all year round.

Luis Sousa
General Manager
Luis is a consummate foodie and has a great breadth of knowledge. Being trained in wine and spirits as well as food and beverage management, it gives him a real understanding of the overall guest experience. He is a great asset to our team and already has some very exciting plans for the future. Luis is widely experienced in the hospitality business and his career also includes stints in Brazil at a luxury restaurant, and The Old Government House Hotel in Guernsey.
